If you're receiving income support payments and you don't tell Centrelink of changes to your circumstances, you will be caught and the penalties could be serious.

You'll have to pay back the extra money, risk community service, a criminal record and even jail.

Caretaker Period
On Sunday 14 October 2007 the Prime Minister of Australia, The Hon John Howard MP, announced that a federal election would be held on Saturday 24 November 2007 and as such the Government has assumed a caretaker role.
